By default, the index data files are stored in a per-user path like this: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“C:\\Users\\**username**\\AppData\\Local\\Copernic\\DesktopSearch<\/em><\/strong>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ensures that all users of your computer have their own personal index stored in a non-shared location. If you want to move your index data files, you can do the following steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open Tools (from the top menu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Options<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    3. Indexing & Performance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. click “Change” to change index location<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    You must restart Copernic Desktop Search after changing index location and an update of your index will be needed. To do a full quit, click on File ->Exit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
