indexing priority paths

How to Create Priority Paths in your Indexing

You likely have certain file paths that you use more than others and would like them to be indexed at a higher priority. You can create your Indexing settings under Tools.

To dig a bit deeper with your indexing preferences, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Locate the file path you would like to prioritize.
  2. Highlight a file from that path and right-click on your mouse.
  3. Follow the arrow on “Copernic Desktop Search.”
  4. Select “Index parent folder in priority.”

To confirm your choice has been made, in Tools, open Options.

Open “files”. The file path you selected will have a tick in the checkbox under “Index in Priority”.

In this area, you may also select additional file paths you would like to prioritize. Return to the main menu when you are ready to save your work.

Creating settings that work best for you will allow Copernic to work for you in creating a fast and efficient search software.
