Compressing Documents into Zip Files Quickly with Copernic

Sometimes we are tasked with locating and sending multiple documents. This can seem daunting and tedious, but it doesn’t have to be! Copernic can make this a quick and easy request rather than taking up a lot of your valuable time.

In this scenario, we are asked to locate and create a zip file of all quotes created in 2025. To start, we enter “quote” in our search bar on the main page of the software. We see that 1,740 documents have been found.

We can further narrow our search by using the Refinements. The best options for this would be date (selecting “This year” in the Date drop-down) and file type since all our quotes are saved in PDF form. This narrows our search down to 127 documents.  

Now that you have narrowed down your results, you can select the files that fit the scope of your task. If you include all of them, selecting the first one, holding down your shift key, and selecting the last one will highlight all the documents in your results. Alternatively, you can hold down your CTRL key while clicking on the files you need to compress. Once all documents you need have been selected, right click your mouse button and you can Copy, Delete, or Compress those files. Select Compress, name the zip file, and follow the prompts to save it.
