index data files of Copernic

Where are the index data files of Copernic Desktop Search stored? Can I change the location?

By default, the index data files are stored in a per-user path like this: 

“C:\Users\**username**\AppData\Local\Copernic\DesktopSearch“

This ensures that all users of your computer have their own personal index stored in a non-shared location. If you want to move your index data files, you can do the following steps:

  1. Open Tools (from the top menu)
  2. Options

3. Indexing & Performance

4. click “Change” to change index location

You must restart Copernic Desktop Search after changing index location and an update of your index will be needed. To do a full quit, click on File ->Exit.
